Does the Transport Fever 2 loyalty discount still apply?

The official FAQ describes a 10% launch loyalty offer for owners buying on the same account and platform, ending 14 days after release. That stated window has passed as of this check. Its continued appearance in an FAQ does not make it an active checkout discount.

Compare totals while signed into the account you intend to use. Record the currency, taxes and final amount for the same product. Do not compare a base-game key with a Deluxe bundle or assume a discount follows you from one store to another. This page does not publish a live lowest-price claim.

What exactly does Deluxe add?

The current Deluxe Upgrade listing names six vehicles: Concorde, London Bus, Trans-Europe Express, Peterbilt 359, Hong Kong Tram and Sikorsky S-76 Spirit. It also lists Eiffel Tower and Taj Mahal landmarks, four wildlife additions and three maps: Redrock Bends, Northern Gates and Emerald Shores. Tycoon Cars, additional fun elements and earlier franchise soundtracks are listed as extras.

Choose the extra that matters before comparing the price. If you want Concorde, confirm that named item in the product details. If you want a more forgiving opening, extra content is not evidence of an easier economy. Deluxe is a content purchase, not a documented performance upgrade.

Already own Standard on Steam? Compare the Upgrade with the bundle rather than buying the base game twice. If owned content is missing in a new free game, the manual’s Add Mods tab also controls Deluxe content activation.

Is Collector’s the right way to buy the game?

Treat the box and the playable license as two separate deliveries. The official product lists a Deluxe Steam key sent by email, plus items including a vehicle statue, artbook, card game, stickers, keychain and poster. A shipping estimate for the box does not tell you when you can activate the emailed key.

That Steam-key detail is decisive for a console buyer: the reviewed package is not a PS5 or Xbox game license. For a collector, the useful comparison is the extra total cost over the digital edition you would otherwise buy, including delivery. Pay that difference for the physical objects you want, rather than counting the included game as a second benefit if you already own it.

The listing also specifically mentions bonus content after the pre-order period. Do not generalize that package-specific wording to every Standard or Deluxe purchase. Confirm stock, delivery destination and the selected product with the seller.

A checkout comparison you can finish in two minutes

Write two rows: the option you would buy without extras, and the option you are considering. For each, note the storefront, base game included yes/no, desired extra included yes/no, final total and delivery method. Cross out any option for the wrong platform before comparing cost.

Then calculate only the relevant difference: option B’s final total minus option A’s final total. Ask whether the named extras are worth that amount to you. If you cannot name an extra you want, there is no content-based reason in this comparison to pay more. Keep the confirmation showing the exact edition and account; it is more useful for a missing-entitlement question than a screenshot of an old promotion.
