Start with the job
Write a one-sentence brief before you shop: “This service connects two hubs with a frequent transfer at the far end.” Then identify the problem you want a replacement to solve. A vehicle can be attractive without solving that problem. This worksheet is a general decision aid; it is not a ranking of the game’s vehicle roster.
Editorial perspective
Avoid combining unmeasured values into a score that looks more scientific than it is. A weighted comparison only becomes useful when you can explain the weights and trust the underlying measurements. For an initial test, a short written trade-off is often more honest than a precise-looking overall rating.
Build an evidence trail
Record the vehicle, route, settings and observation period. Keep a baseline before changing equipment, then repeat the observation. If several conditions change, explain that limitation in the result.
